Paro Taktsang, also known as the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, is a prominent Himalayan Buddhist sacred site and temple complex located in the cliffside of the upper Paro valley in Bhutan.
Elevation: 3,120 meters (10,240 ft)
Significance: Built in 1692, it is said to be the meditation site of Guru Padmasambhava, who is credited with introducing Buddhism to Bhutan.

Day 1: Arrival in Paro
Morning:

Day 2: Hike to Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery)

Drive to the base of Taktsang Monastery.
Begin the hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (approximately 2-3 hours ascent).
Visit the monastery, explore its temples, and enjoy panoramic views.
Afternoon:
Picnic lunch at the Taktsang Cafeteria with views of the monastery.
Descend back to the base (approximately 1-2 hours descent).
Return to Paro town.
Evening:
Relaxing time at the hotel or explore Paro town.
Dinner at a local restaurant.
Overnight stay at the hotel in Paro.
Day 3: Exploring Paro and Departure
Morning:
Breakfast at the hotel.
Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest and most sacred temples in Bhutan.
Optional visit to a local farmhouse to experience traditional Bhutanese lifestyle and try local snacks.
Afternoon:
Lunch at a restaurant in Paro.
Free time for shopping and exploring Paro market.
Return to the hotel to pack and prepare for departure.
Evening:
Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure flight.
