Day 1: Arrival in Paro
Arrive at Paro International Airport, where our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. Take the afternoon to explore Paro’s charming town or relax before the trek.
Day 2: Paro Sightseeing
Spend a day acclimatizing with guided sightseeing in Paro. Visit iconic sites like the Paro Rinpung Dzong and the National Museum. If time permits, hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang), perched on a cliffside.
Day 3: Trek Begins: Paro to Jele Dzong
Start the trek with a gradual climb through pine forests, reaching Jele Dzong. Enjoy valley views and spend the night camping near the dzong.
Day 4: Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha
Continue through rhododendron forests, with chances to spot yaks grazing. Enjoy views of Mount Jomolhari in the distance.
Day 5: Jangchulakha to Jimilang Tsho
Trek along a high ridge to reach Jimilang Tsho, a beautiful lake known for its large trout and surrounded by rugged terrain.
Day 6: Jimilang Tsho to Simkotra Tsho
Follow the trail past another mountain ridge with spectacular Himalayan views, reaching Simkotra Tsho, a quiet lake with camping by the water.
Day 7: Simkotra Tsho to Phajoding
Descend gradually toward Phajoding Monastery, a sacred site with panoramic views of Thimphu Valley below.
Day 8: Phajoding to Thimphu, Departure
Complete the descent into Thimphu, finishing the trek. Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure, concluding this unforgettable journey in Bhutan.
